At School: Students wrapped up their swimming lessons! It was wonderful to see how much their skills improved over the past two weeks! In Literacy: We started procedural writing by brainstorming topic ideas and getting started on our rough drafts. In Math: We continued practicing how to simplify fractions and how to convert between fractions, decimals, and percentages. We also worked on solving real-life problems involving percentages. In Art: We started creating 3D Doodle Bugs! In Social Studies: We explored the history of early settlers in Alberta. In Science: We began our unit on Plant and Animal Structures. Students learned what an organism is and worked together to classify various local organisms based on their appearance, habitat, and physical structures. We also planted beans!
