June 9-13
At School:
We had a wonderful trip to the zoo on Friday, where we explored various animal exhibits and learned about Burrowing Owls.
Math: We explored angle relationships and practiced measuring angles with a protractor. We also examined the geometric properties of different polygons, such as equal or unequal side lengths, number of angles, complementary and supplementary angles, as well as parallel and perpendicular lines.
In Literacy: We compared and contrasted the ways plants and animals get their food, and we also wrote about our exciting zoo field trip on Tuesday!
In Science: We learned about the different stimuli that plants can sense and how they respond to them. We also explored how animals use their sensory organs to find food, avoid danger, and interact with other animals.
Looking Forward:
Join us for our Grade Four Farewell on Friday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the gym, as we celebrate our amazing Grade Fours! We’ll be rehearsing on Thursday afternoon to prepare for the big day.

SPORTS DAY Volunteers Needed
There are a few spots left if you are interested in helping with Sports Day.
This year, Sports Day will take place on Tuesday, June 24 with two sessions:
Morning Session: 9:00-10:30 AM (AM Kinders, grades 3 and 4)
Afternoon Session: 1:00-2:15 PM (PM Kinders, grades 1 and 2)
We have 22 stations this year, so we'll need lots of hands on deck. Volunteers will meet in the gym at the start to receive instructions on setting up, running stations, and returning equipment to the gym afterward. Mr. V. will provide all necessary equipment and an instruction sheet for each station.
Morning volunteers should plan to be at the school from 8:20 to 10:45, and afternoon volunteers from 12:20 to 2:30.
Only those who have been cleared in the office can volunteer for this event.
Here is the link below if you would like to help.
Outstanding Fees
This week, families will receive statements sent home if they are still owing fees.
Please log into your CBE Account to ensure your account is cleared for this school year.
If you need help logging into your account, please contact the office.
Outstanding fees will remain on accounts moving into next year.
Transportation for 2025-26
Transportation Registration is now available through your CBE Account.
Families must register each year if they require busing for their student.
Families must register by Sunday, June 22, 2025 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.
CBE will accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 22 deadline will be delayed.
Confirmed routes are posted in August. For those who register after the June 22 deadline, it may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus.
Transportation can be cancelled with no financial impact by submitting the cancellation form by Sept. 30, 2025. Fees will be added to accounts in October 2025.
